The numbers of potential neurotoxicants in the environment are raising and pose a great risk for humans and the environment. Currently neurotoxicity assessment is mostly performed to predict and prevent harm to human populations. Despite all the efforts invested in the last years in developing novel in vitro or in silico test systems, in vivo tests with rodents are still the only accepted test for neurotoxicity risk assessment in Europe. Despite an increasing number of reports of species showing altered behaviour, neurotoxicity assessment for species in the environment is not required and therefore mostly not performed. Considering the increasing numbers of environmental contaminants with potential neurotoxic potential, eco-neurotoxicity should be also...

Praxisversuche in der landwirtschaftlichen Beratung: Erfahrungen und Wissensbedarfe in Deutschland Organic Eprints
Knuth, U.; Bloch, Ralf; Häring, Anna Maria; Scholz, S..
Onresilience to climate change and other challenges. Agricultural advisors are expected to play an important role in supporting farmers experimental activities and participation in on-farm research. Current EU and German policy instruments increasingly support innovation networks involving multiple stakeholders from science and practice. This paper investigates, to what extent advisors are involved and interested in on-farm research and farmer experiments. An online survey was developed addressing approx. 400 agricultural advisors in Germany. The survey showed that the majority of the advisors are involved in farmer experiments and onfarm research, single advisors to a very high extent.
